HEADLINE:

PUBLIC DEMANDS PEUGH!

Never one to disappoint his fans, Maestro Stinky Peugh
has consented to conduct
The Greater Geneva Grande
Award
Marching Band for its gala 6th performance season
on the 4th of July.

"Who am I to buck a 6 year tradition?" asked the Maestro
rhetorically and with characteristic modesty.  "Looking
forward to our triumphant return… again."

In a prepared statement to the band, President Richard
Creedon of the Geneva Citizens Association said: "Thanks
for helping to make our Fourth of July happenings bright and entertaining."
When told of Maestro Peugh's announcement, he declined further comment pending advice of
counsel.

IN OTHER NEWS:

The band is up to 20 participants so far.  That may not seem like many compared to the 50 or
more two years ago, or 45 last year, but it's early and many on the roster have yet to respond.

Some of the most loyal GGGAMB members have been together for 15 years or more in the Acme
All-American Alumni Marching Band and the World's Worst Marching Band.  And that includes
Stinky Peugh before he had earned the title of Maestro.  GGGAMB's roots trace back to the
WWMB and every 4th of July performance in Geneva is sort of a reunion--a chance to relive the
memories and pay tribute to that band's founding fathers (and mothers) as well as to the country's.

The 4th of July might have found the World's Worst Marching Band in Atlanta, or performing
before half a million in Philadelphia.  Geneva can't spare its band on such an important holiday,
so road trips are out of the question.  But do you suppose GGGAMB will be remembered (fondly
or otherwise) in 15-20 years?

Hope to hear from more of you about this year's holiday event (yes/no/maybe), and don't forget
to recruit family and friends.  If they can't play instruments, they can wave flags.

More news as it breaks.
